As at 1st October 2023.

 

1.      The R & A have, this month, announced an Education and Certification Programme aimed at all         participants involved with Course Rating. The Programme will provide    education via a Learning         Management System providing consistency of delivery and     assessment of   ability.   There will be three         Levels, Team Member, Team Leader and Team Leader /   Trainer.

 

2.    The Master Version of the 2024 Rules of Handicapping was circulated to all National      Federations in April 2023.   Federations have to implement these changes and

        educate Clubs and Golfers by 1st April 2024.

 

3.      Scottish Golf have now taken over the responsibility of Course Rating Administration.   They will,         from April 2024 appoint Team Leaders and      Team Members for each of the courses / tees to be         rated.

 

4. The following have retired / resigned at the end of the 2023 season.

        Team Leaders - Ricky MAGEE, John RUTHERFORD & Mike HAZLEWOOD  -   Team Members - 

        Regina MILASZKIEWICZ, Simon GAUNT, Alex GLENNIE. Iain MacKENZIE, Jenny MAXWELL
